What is GapCash?
GapCash is an exclusive Encore Member benefit that can be redeemed for savings at Gap and Gap Factory. Encore Members can earn and redeem during specific “GapCash” periods throughout the year.
How will I receive my GapCash?
Encore Members that make a qualifying purchase of $50 or more in stores or online will receive a code via email within 48 hours of their qualifying purchase. The code will also be added to the earning customer’s Encore Account. One code may be earned per qualifying transaction. To earn, you must be logged in to your Encore Account online or provide your account phone number to a store associate at the time of purchase.
How do I redeem my GapCash?
Encore Members that made a qualifying purchase while signed in to their account and earned GapCash can redeem it during designated “GapCash Redeem” periods throughout the year, either in-stores or online for up to $100. You have the flexibility to spend less than the maximum threshold to redeem a GapCash coupon, but you will receive a corresponding lower value discount based on the amount you spend. You will forfeit the remaining potential earned GapCash value from that coupon. You can only use one GapCash coupon per transaction, but there is no limit to how many GapCash coupons an Encore Member can redeem overall during the redemption window. GapCash is not valid at any other Gap Inc. brands or at our clearance centers.
Can I combine my GapCash with other offers?
GapCash is combinable with select promotions. Encore Members may also redeem points with their GapCash. Points can be applied to online transactions at checkout in 100-point increments. Points can also be applied in-store at checkout.

- For online earned GapCash, if the amount of a purchase is less than the threshold to use the full value of a coupon, any unused balance of the GapCash coupon will be forfeited.
- GapCash coupons are valid for one time use only, have no cash value, and cannot be combined with other offers/discounts or employee discount (except Gap Inc. Cardmembers and Rewards Members can redeem up to 3 reward certificates in addition to GapCash in a single transaction).
- GapCash coupons must be presented at time of purchase in store, or code entered at online checkout.
- The amount of discount to the purchase price resulting from the application of a GapCash coupon will be allocated equally across all items purchased in the transaction.
- If you return some or all of the merchandise purchased with a GapCash coupon, the dollar value discount of the GapCash coupon will not be refunded or credited back.
- Gap is not responsible for lost or stolen GapCash coupons.
- GapCash coupons cannot be applied to previous purchases.
- GapCash coupons cannot be used toward payment on a Gap Inc. credit card account.
- GapCash coupons are non-transferable and not for resale.
- Any unused GapCash coupons remaining after the valid redemption period are forfeited.
