This seems to be a polarizing style but I simply can't get enough of these. I think it's one of those things where if they work for you, they *really* work. I'm a pear shape, 5'7" and about 175 currently. I generally wear a size large or a 12-14 and the large in these is quite comfortable. Perhaps I... could have sized down, but I want a lounge-ey fit with these. Somehow these pants magically and counterintuitively make my waist look nipped and minimize my thighs. I don't know how they do it. I find the fabric soft, substantial and wrinkle-resistant. I have the tea rose which is sort of a peach pink, the sage, the tan, and the dark denim. I've tried them with all kinds of tops and shoes and they are ridiculously versatile--loafers and a button down work as do a tee and low profile sneakers, a tank and flip flops, a duster sweater and moto boots, etc. I suggest you try them if you're on the fence especially if you're a pear shape. You might be pleasantly surprised.
I wanted to love these pants so badly! They come in lots of colors and have an elastic waist, which I love as someone with a lot of stomach issues and for wfh comfort. I read so many reviews and decided to purchase my normal size (at least what I would normally order from Old Navy) in the leopard an...d black leopard. I also purchased an XXL in the leopard just as a secondary option. The XL technically fits, as in I can pull them up and they look nice while standing, but they are very tight in the hips/butt and somehow gape a little in the waist. I could sit down, but it felt pretty snug in the hips/butt that I decided I would not be able to keep them because I just don't know if they will loosen up and feel better or rip (and I don't really want to live through that embarrassment, ya know?). I tried the XXL just to see what it was like and I did have more room in the hips and butt, but the waist was way too big then. I tried to tie it tightly, but then it made a weird bump in the back above my butt area. I felt like it looked like I was wearing a diaper. For reference, I purchased similar elastic-waist barrel utility pants from Old Navy several times in the past few years in an XL. They all have felt a bit snug in the hips and butt, but I can still move and sit comfortably and they loosen up a bit throughout the day as I am wearing them. I was hoping these would be the same. I'm so sad to have to return them! Gap, please give us these pants again with a curvy cut option (especially in mid-rise so the waist doesn't come up to the boobs).

I am 5'2, 106lb with 34 inch hips. I bought the petite xs and they simply fell off of my body. After the initial wash I noticed slight shrinkage, but they were still constantly falling down if I didn't pull them as tight as I could (which was a pain to untie every time I went to the bathroom). They came down to my ankles, which is my preferred length. Gap- these are not a true xs. The xs fit closer to a medium. I wish gap would bring back the easy twill pants in different shades!

I love these jeans I have them in the blue denim and bought the tan. After washing them they are covered in faded spots and am surprised to read others had the same issue.

WARNING: Do Not Buy Frosty Morning After a single wash, following the care instructions exactly and without using any spot treatments or bleach products - the Frosty Morning color developed large, obvious bleach-like stains in separate areas on both pant legs. What's most disappointing is that this appears to be a frequent occurrence (as per other reviews) and a clear quality-control issue, yet Gap Factory's return/exchange process offered no practical solution. I purchased the item in-store while traveling, but there is no Gap Factory location anywhere near where I live. I was informed that returns for in-store purchases must be made in-store, leaving me stuck with an unwearable defective product through no fault of my own. I find it shocking there is no process for handling obvious product defects, especially when customers don't have reasonable access to a physical store. The combination of poor product quality and an inflexible return policy will ensure I think twice before making future purchases.

I'm not sure why everyone else loves these! Medium I couldn't get over my hips, large fit until second wear after wash. So baggy and falling down?! Elastic is thick and uncomfortable. Regular dark wash which sadly I'll be donating.

Quality pants, thick for fall but also flowy enough for summer/spring! I found they run a little big, I got a small and typically fit a small/medium. I purchased them in store so I had to get a regular length. I have long legs, short torso and could have done with a longer length, but the regular is still great for a more ankle look! Wish I could buy more, but dislike the other colors since they have the white strings. Would really appreciate if the strings matched the colors so it looks more cohesive!

I'm 5'2 and took a chance and got the medium regular since medium short was out of stock. Luckily the length works for me and doesn't hit the floor! Definitely would be ankle length for a taller person

I grabbed the jeans in the colors medium wash and army green when I was at the store. I grabbed the medium size in regular which was perfect for my 5'8" height (I like them cropped). I am more of a size 10 and the mediums are great. #sweepstakes

I was so excited to get these pants. I am 5'6 and 130 pounds. I ordered a size small long. These pants are too big in the waist and thighs. They still were not as long as I wanted them to be either. The material is so soft and comfortable though and because they have the draw string to adjust the waist, I will keep them. I just wish they would have fit more true to size

I only wore these about 3 times. They ripped along the crotch seam. So disappointing. I got them a size up to have a nice baggy look. They were cute and comfy. But quality is not good.
