The quality of this trench really exceeds my expectations and is a great value. It is a very soft cotton twill- think broken-in chinos that you've washed a hundred times. It's not in any way water resistant, so don't think you're buying a rain coat. It has classic, double-breasted styling with a bel...t. The interior is finished nicely and it has great navy and white pin strip lining in the sleeves that I honestly wish was throughout the inside! I can see this hanging in my closet for many years to come and is a capsule piece that will stand the test of time.
Coat was "meh." I got it 50% off and even then, it wasn't worth the price. Coat wasn't even fully lined, just the sleeves, so it's mostly for looks alone--it's not doing anything to provide warmth, and as it's plain cotton, it's not protecting from the rain either. Also, I found the shoulders and ...upper arms to be very tight. The rest of the coat was almost too big, but the shoulders and arms were so tight it felt uncomfortable to move my arms. Returned

Fits nice around the shoulders and fabric is very comfortable. Definitely size down as mentioned. I wanted to love it but its so wrinkly and steaming wouldn't touch it. Dont want to be traveling with such a wrinkly fabric.

Solid quality for the price point. Fit true to size with space for layer. Only negative would be the sleeves are quite long. I have long arms and they come halfway down my hand. Will be hemming them a little higher to look more tailored.

Bought this Gap trench coat fully expecting to serve effortless 'mysterious woman walking through NYC with a coffee and unresolved feelings' energy… and somehow it delivered. The fit is flattering, the material feels surprisingly luxe for the price, and it instantly makes even leggings look like I have my life together. I put it on and suddenly felt qualified to ignore texts, overpay for oat milk lattes, and dramatically walk away from situations that no longer serve me. Only downside? Now I can't wear it without someone asking where I got it. Highly inconvenient for gatekeeping purposes. 10/10 — would recommend if you're trying to look expensive while still being financially attached to reality.
