Inconsistent sizing - but I'm committed to finding the fit!

I ordered 28 and 29 - sizing fluctuates, I feel, depending on the style. I run b/w 27-29 depending on the rise, fabric content, etc. The 29 was too tight, I couldn't get it past by hips. The 28 fit past my hips, but too tight around the waist. I'm waiting on a 30 now. These are so cute and I'm ...

Size up 1-2 sizes?!

I ordered a 4L in a light wash. I was so excited when I felt how soft they were. I wear a 4 in gap pants- I could barely get them above my hips and had 4 inches of belly space where I couldn't button them. Is it possible they were mismarked as a 0?! It was wild. I don't see other reviews like this, ...

These fit great in the hips, but are soooo short, and the bottoms are comically wide

Inseam of long length felt closer to 33 than 34 inches, and I need at least 35. Cut around the waist and hips was very flattering for curvier hips

Waist was small and there is so much material at the bottom

These jeans were lovely. I would have kept them but they were oddly short. I'm 5'6 with longish legs and these were above my ankle bone. I thought I may have been sent a "short" but they were regular length. Otherwise they were true to size - I got a 28/6 (137-140lbs)

Nice material and lightweight

I like these jeans but I should've sized up. I ordered a size 28 and they are a bit tight in the butt area. Reordering in a size 30 hoping they'll be perfect.

These jeans are a lot thinner than I imagined, but for me that makes them more comfortable so I am more likely to wear them. Love the wash, I ordered the medium wash. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because I am 5'9" and they are so short on me. Usually regular jeans from Gap are a decent length, however I will have to exchange these for a tall.

I ordered my usual size and when they were too snug, I exchanged for the next size up. Somehow those were even SMALLER than my original size. I don't have the patience to try again, so I'm giving up. Super disappointed because they look so good on other people.

Lack of quality control

I bought two pairs (New Off White and Neutral) in size 10/30, and there's at least a 2-inch difference in the waist between the New Off White and the Neutral. What's going on with the quality control? Now I have to go return the Neutral because it's not even close to being a size 10… very disappointing.
