These shorts are cut TTS, but run small based on GAP sizing. I am a faithful GAP shopper, I work in a casual office where neatness is the only requirement, the majority of my wardrobe is from GAP, GAP Factory, and sometimes Old Navy, and I find their sizing to be generous. I'm almost always a size ...4, sometimes a 6, in these shorts I am a solid 6. Keep in mind the khaki color runs slightly smaller than the green, they're a bit more snug, but they do stretch some after wear. I just purchased the "blue uniform" so I can't speak on the sizing yet, although I am hoping they fit more like the green color. Either way they're great shorts, especially the length.
I have other size 10 pants from Gap that fit. These are too tight. I can button them but they show the pocket lining in the side pockets which are a different color than the shorts. Because you get a side pocket gap showing the lining fabric the only way I could wear these shorts would be with a lon...g T-shirt. I would describe these shorts as tight fitting. Size up. Unfortunately, they are sold out on the size up. I would have reordered because they are very nice.

The 9" Downtown Khaki Bermuda Shorts never disappoint. Consistent in fit/size, richness of color and overall wearability. Length is becoming for any age; a Bermuda is always a polished choice. Fabric quality is good; no shrinkage during laundering. I prefer to iron; however, these could be wash and go.

I am 5'9 so I bought a tall and they are perfect. If you are like me, modest with a preference for full knee coverage, buy them now! I bought a 10 in Khaki, an 8 in Black and they fit about the same. Im typically a size 8 with very narrow hips.

I seem to be between sizes. I previously ordered a bigger size. The next size up fits but after wearing a few hours I am looking for a belt to keep them up. This size I can't get buttoned yet. I dislike that the hook and bar are not on the inside of the button and button hole. Inside it would help to keep it closed to button it. It is awkward to button first.
