I've been shopping for barrel jeans for weeks. Went to Gap Proper twice. Their version has no stretch, and it was so uncomfortable - Gap jeans are always a bit tight in the butt and loose in the waist for me, but these were even worse than usual. Then I found these on Gap Factory and they do have 1%... stretch! (Why would anyone go back to rigid jeans...have we learned nothing about comfort in 30 years?) I'm 5'7", 135 lbs, and high-waisted. I ordered a 38L. The added stretch of these jeans means the butt-to-waist ratio fits me much better than the Gap Proper version, with less gapping in the back of the waist. Nice high-rise. Great medium blue color with fading but no holes, just like I wanted. Best of all, the Gap Proper version was TOO barreled, almost clownish...these are a bit more subtle. I can totally see the barrel shape, but no one's going to think my pants are a visual joke. These look great folded up once or twice. Only drawbacks: 1) I wish Gap had a curvy option, as I'm still dealing with a bit of gapping, but it's no big deal. 2) I ordered the Long version, but I still wish they were a little longer, as I want to keep them folded up all the time. Overall, cute, comfy jeans, GREAT deal, way better than Gap!
I wish the design/material/sizing wasn't so inconsistent across colors. I don't understand why stores do this. I have one pair in the medium indigo wash that I like, so I wanted another pair in the black. But for some reason the black ones have western seams on the front, which cuts across my pooch ...in a weird way, and the material is way more stretchy. The blue jeans are nice and hefty. The other black ones are velvet. I'm keeping the indigo ones, but I just wanted the same pair in black and I guess that's asking too much.

Barrel jeans are fashionable but sometimes can make one look bowlegged. These do not, cute while checking the 'en vogue' box. Recommend!

I have to say I never find jeans that I love to wear for long periods of time but these are light weight and fit just right. Roomy enough in the leg as well. Just a solid pair of jeans with such a cute pattern. I got the green floral color and they are just awesome. Im 5'3, 133lbs and ordered the size 6 short. I tried the regular and thought they were a bit longer past my ankle than I wanted so I ordered the short.

I got these in the green floral - I'm obsessed with olive green these days - and they are even better than I imagined. I would say the barrel is pretty subtle, so these don't feel *as* trendy as some other reviewers suggested. I'm 5'7", size 4 and the 27 fit great but I decided to go with the 28 so they are a little more slouchy/relaxed and sit a little lower as I prefer a mid-rise jean. Super cute with a cropped white tee and sneakers.

I was on the fence about a barrel jean as I am 5'4", but these fit great. They hit just above my ankle and are not overly "barrel" around the middle of my legs. Fit is pretty true to size. Not sure how long the trend will last, but for the price and quality this is a great option!

I got the floral. Nice material. Perfect fit and length. I'm not sure where I read that these were moderate Barrells, but they are not subtle at all. If you want to look like a coyboy with bowed legs from a western , just getting off his horse, then these are for you. In real life I would've worn them in my younger days, but they'd still be 'one n done'. Not practical at all even right now. Six months to a year and you're gonna be tossing these.
