Definitely size up. Normally I wear a S/M, but I ordered the Large is it's a perfect fit. It's soft and feminine. Can be dressed up or down. Get it on sale
I have been searching for a basic white long-sleeved cotton tee that is not ribbed, and I thought this fit the bill. I'm 5'3" and weight around 125 lbs, and I normally wear an XS-S in these kinds of fitted tees when I wish to use them for layering or sleeping. After reading the reviews about it runn...ing small, I thought sizing up to S would suffice. It turned out that the fit is so much more unreasonably tight than expected. While the sleeves fit well around my medium-sized arms, the torso from chest to belly felt like a compression tube. I could hardly take the top on and off. Considering that I am not larger-chested, this was a surprising disappointment. I suspect that if one were to size up two whole sizes, however, the sleeves would hang loosely around the arms in a lousy fit. Would not recommend.

This shirt is a color I did not have. I have purchased this style for 9 years. Gap has always stayed true to the material which does not pill shrink fade or thin. I still wear my original 1st purchase. I'm so happy to see a company who cares more for quality than the increase of profit.
