Faded in spots

I ordered this as a gift and it looked like something the recipient would like. Fortunately I noticed 2 spots with light fading before giving the sweater. I'll be returning it. Not sure if it's worth repurchasing. I'm not sure how well it would wash/hold up either.

I got this sweater for myself (35F) and I LOVE it!! I'm a 34" bust, 27ish waist, and 40" hip and the small fits perfectly comfortably. Not too baggy or boxy, but also clearly not a feminine cut. It's a very nice medium weight 100% cotton sweater that I'm sure I'll wear often.
