I've been shopping for barrel jeans for weeks. Went to Gap Proper twice. Their version has no stretch, and it was so uncomfortable - Gap jeans are always a bit tight in the butt and loose in the waist for me, but these were even worse than usual. inconsistent across colors

I wish the design/material/sizing wasn't so inconsistent across colors. I don't understand why stores do this. I have one pair in the medium indigo wash that I like, so I wanted another pair in the black. But for some reason the black ones have western seams on the front, which cuts across my pooch ...

These just didn't look right. I am normally a size 12 but got a 14. The material is stretchy and it just didn't fit right on the belly area, I think the 12 would have been too small but the 14 bunched up. They also came absolutely obviously used, the tags were ripped and they felt unclean. Did not keep.

I bought the green floral pattern in a size 12. They are so fun and fit perfectly. There is a tiny bit of stretch which provides a little "give" in the waistband. I don't like 100% rigid jeans. I'm short and curvy, about 160 lbs.
