These jeans are very soft and comfortable. As a size 6 on the curvy side, I had to order a 30R in both the washed black and light blue jeans for a comfortable. I didn't have any gaping at the waist with this size. The 28R was too small. These jeans are just the fit I was looking for. I would suggest sizing up
