i just bought these shorts in the color "dark wash". i wear a 23 in Aritzia jeans, so i was skeptical on how big these shorts would be. it is a little bit big, falling about two inches below my belly button, but the five inch length is very flattering! i wish GAP would make their bottoms in a size 2...3! nevertheless, it is comfortable and the gape of it on my waist is not too concerning. the color is beautiful, and i can see myself wearing it with or without a belt. for reference, i am 5'4 and three quarters, and weigh 102 pounds.
I like these shorts, but they run really big. I am normally a size 4 in almost all my bottoms but I could fit both arms in the waist of the 4s. I returned for a size 2 and I don't think they were any smaller. I now have to try a size 0 but because I can't just do a simple exchange through the GAP o...nline I have to return and reorder- and they will be more expensive than when I initially purchased. So they are very inconsistency sized and the GAP makes it difficult to do exchanges-hence the 3 stars. I otherwise like the feel of the denim and the cut which is the only reason I didn't just do a flat return to start with.

These are sure to be a new favorite this summer. I loved them as soon as I put them on. The denim is so incredibly soft, and I wish all of Gap's shorts were like this. Great fit.

I bought these with the intent to cut them off right at the hem for a more casual look, but I love them so much that I'm probably going to keep them as is. I would say that these run large in the best way - they are so comfortable and have a ton of stretch, so I probably could have gone down a size for a tighter fit. I would buy the blue also but they are a different fabric and won't be the same. These are such a great length and rise!
