Nice quality but sizing is off

My husband is a 36" waist which is what I ordered. They seemed very large when he tried them on so I measured the waistband which was 38 inches even though the tag definitely said "36". Going to try 34s and hope they fit better

Caught these on sale and couldn't be happier (I am wearing one of three pairs I bought as I type). Practical, functional, and basic - what you need in a summer staple. Washes well, and has the tiniest bit of stretch to make them exceedingly comfortable. Trying to refrain from buying more - I don't live in the part of the States that makes having a closet full of shorts practical!
